“If you defeat USA, the only remaining super power, you will become super powers in sports yourself. You girls must be resilient. You go into the battle today knowing that your victory can make all the difference; you should go in there and make your nation proud.<\/p>\n
“I look forward to hugging you in victory after the match. Be assured that your coming to Canada is enough for us, but we need the victory as well,” he said.<\/p>\n
\u00a0In her response, Captain Evelyn Nwabuoku thanked the High Commissioner for coming to visit the team and for his kind words of encouragement.<\/p>\n
