<\/a>In a release in Abuja, the Secretary of the League Board Isaac Ajisafe said: “In consideration of Nigeria’s participation in the 2015 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup in Canada, we wish to inform all Women League clubs that the NWFL after due consultations has decided to stop the Women League temporarily with effect from\u00a020th May, 2015and throughout the period of the Women\u2019s World Cup. The League will resume after the Super Falcons return to Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n
Continuing, the scribe stated: “Please be informed that the decision is imperative so as to allow clubs, players and officials and all football -loving Nigerians to actively support the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the team\u2019s quest to win the 2015 FIFA World Cup, and moreso, that most of the players playing in the League will definitely feature for Nigeria in the World Cup.”<\/p>\n
